This May (Mental Health Awareness Month), you can win a custom Aggie Mental Health t-shirt or UC Davis coloring and activity book! The first 800 UC Davis students who show proof of completing the Question, Persuade, and Refer (QPR) suicide prevention training to the Aggie Mental Health Ambassadors will receive a prize. This training can help save lives, and we want as many Aggies trained as possible.
Why QPR?
As a college student, knowing what to do in a suicide crisis can help you save the life of a friend, classmate, roommate or even a family member. Quality education empowers all people, regardless of their background, to make a positive difference in the life of someone they know.
How to Take the Training
To access the training:
- Go to https://qprtraining.com/setup.php
- Enter 'ucdavis' as the Organization Code
- Complete the Account Activation by entering your Full Name and Email address
Information for Students Who have Already Taken the Training
Many students at UC Davis have already taken the QPR training through the Learning Management System (LMS) or through an in-person training on campus. If you've already completed the training, you are still eligible to receive a prize. Just refer to the section below for information on proof of completion.
Proof of Completion
If you completed the training through the LMS system, you can log in and verify you've acquired the training by selecting "Transcripts and Certificates" on the homepage. The certificate can be shown digitally on a device (PDF, screenshot, etc.) or printed.
Upon completion of the training in-person or through another online portal, you should have received an email certificate of course completion showing that you have successfully completed the training. If you did not receive that email or are not able to access it, you can log into the training module and access the certificate there.
Prize Pickup
Incentives will be awarded in person on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last with proof of completion of the QPR training. To redeem an incentive, a student must present their ID matching the name on the certificate of course completion to the Aggie Mental Health Ambassadors.
Ambassadors will be tabling every Tuesday and Thursday throughout the month of May from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Shields Library Wellness Desk.
